260 gallons of water, inside 2 benches
These benches are just one more option for the use of DIY RainBench kits and attractive facing materials. For the plans on how to make these 130 gallon Cedar Rain Benches, just fill out the password request form at the bottom of the page.
All material requirements, step-by-step illustrated instructions and plumbing hookup options are here, and you will need 2 DIY RainBench kits to create one Cedar 130 gallon RainBench.
These caps are not configured to capture the rainfall itself. There are two ways of doing this: Modify these instructions or make the two underlying rain benches’ caps to do this. We have plans for the latter and will be posting them asap. Stay tuned!
UPDATE: Included on the page (link below) are the NEW 300 gallon/ 600 gallon Cedar Rain Bench plans!

I am intrigued by the rain bench concept. We plan to build a raised deck – next year. These would be great! Thanks for posting the ideas online!
