Materials purchased separately: This will vary depending on the kit, but there is a detailed shopping list with estimated pricing (varies by region) included in each set of plans. The Cedar Panel will end up costing more because they are pre-made panels and, well, even though it is "free shipping" from homedepot.com, you are still paying more for shipping (they just include it in the price)...
And hey, this is all made by one of your neighbors in the USA, so that's nice.

Ok, it will only hold 1,120 lbs, or a little over half ton of water if built to max capacity.
That's a lot of water. (Tip: If you want to put one on your deck, make sure it was built to hold a hot tub. We recommend setting it on a level bed of permeable gravel instead)
